  1. Hose Deployment Speed Drill:
    • Focus on quickly and accurately deploying different-sized handlines.
    • Time each team to see who can deploy a hose line the fastest.

    • Simulate rescuing victims from an upper floor of a building using stairs.
    • Practice carrying victims down safely and efficiently.
    • Utilize a sturdy chair for a chair-carry.
    • Practice deployment of a commercial stair-chair device.
  3. Rapid Search and Rescue:
    • Set up a maze-like structure with simulated victims.
    • Train firefighters to conduct rapid searches and safely extract victims.
    • Use blacked-out SCBA mask or turn hood around backwards.
    • Use disorienting techniques and have firefighters follow the hose out.
  4. Forcible Entry Techniques:
    • Teach firefighters various methods of breaching doors, including using a Halligan tool or a battering ram.
    • Focus on speed and precision.
  5. Emergency Medical Response:
    • Simulate a medical emergency at the station.
    • Train firefighters on basic first aid and CPR techniques.
  6. Wildland Firefighting Skills:
    • Practice deploying hose lines and using hand tools to control a simulated wildland fire.
    • Focus on teamwork and communication.
  7. Fire Extinguisher Drill:
    • Teach proper fire extinguisher usage for small fires.
